For law firms
Your files.
Your keys.
We run the infrastructure. You hold the keys and the control.SHC runs your firm's files, email and backups as one managed service, scoped to what you need, with a private AI that drafts from the files you give it, so client confidences stay under your control.
Tell us how the firm works today. A person at SHC reads it and replies by email.
Please don't put confidential client details in your message.
- Your data stays in the United States
- Same folders, same Word, same phone
- US sites in Texas and Kansas
Sound familiar?
Client files end up everywhere.
A few inboxes. A shared drive. Partners' laptops. Scans from intake.
Confidences scattered
Client files sit in every inbox, drive and laptop, and nobody is sure where the newest copy lives.Access nobody closes
Lateral hires, contract attorneys and paralegals come and go. Their logins often stay behind.AI with no guardrails
Without a private option, lawyers are tempted to paste client work into public AI tools.
Start here
Every file in one place you control.
The first piece is the vault: one protected copy of your firm's files and email, on US sites in Texas and Kansas.
- Client files
- Scans and PDFs
- Laptops and phones
- Matter records
- The vault
Search inside every file
Prior versions kept. A saved-over brief can be brought back.Closed matters, your schedule
Destroyed when you say, with a record. A hold freezes a matter.Backups you can prove
Restored in front of you, with a signed, dated restore record.Email on your own domain
Old and new mail side by side for 60 to 90 days; we cut over when nothing bounces.
Your vendors stay. Docketing, e-filing, trust accounting and your citator stay with the vendors who maintain them.
What the pieces do together
Each piece works on its own. Stacked, they do what no single app can.
Each result below needs every piece in its stack.
EmailMatter foldersOne login
When a lawyer leaves
Close their email, files and calendars, and hand their matters to whoever takes over.
Matter foldersPrivate AI
A first draft from one matter
Drafts, summaries and key dates from the files you give it. Not sent to an outside AI company.
The vaultSHC looks after it
Backups you can prove
Restored in front of you, with a signed, dated restore record.
Matter foldersRecords log
Proof a document hasn't changed
Anyone can later confirm it existed in that exact form on that date. Courts have not settled how such a record is treated; treat it as corroboration.
People come and go
You decide who sees each matter.
One login for every lawyer, paralegal and expert. Each one sees only their matters, and every account can carry an end date.
- You invite them
- Role, matters and an end date
- Phone code added at first sign-in
- Works in assigned matters only
- Access closes
- Their work stays with the firm
Lateral hires and contract attorneys
One login with a role, their matters and an end date.Co-counsel and experts
Share one matter, and nothing else, for as long as you choose.Lost phone?
Cut it off from client files without changing anyone else's password.
Private AI
Point AI at real client work.
Not the four documents someone remembered to paste in. A capable model reads the file you give it, drafts, summarizes and pulls key dates from contracts into a table. A lawyer reviews every draft before it is used.
- A file you give it
- Private AI drafts or summarizes
- A lawyer reviews it
- Into the matter
Drafts
A first draft from the documents in one matter.Summaries
Long depositions, contracts and correspondence, cut to what matters.Key dates
Dates and terms pulled from contracts into a table.
It runs on systems we run at our Kansas site. What you type is not sent to any outside AI company, not kept beyond the systems we run for you, and not used to train any model. Your monthly allowance is written into the agreement. Scanned and handwritten material still needs a person to check it.
Business in a Box
The systems your firm runs on, in one box.
Documents, email, private AI, backups and access, set up and run by one team, scoped to what you need. You choose how it runs.
1 · Choose how it runs
Mix them if you like. Your data is yours to take, whichever you choose.
2 · Pick what goes in the box
Suggested starting set ticked below. Change anything, or skip this and just talk to us.
Your box
Send my box →No prices on this page. Every box is quoted, sized to you: a fixed number before you sign.
Who holds what
We run the infrastructure. You hold the keys and the control.
You decide who sees each matter and when their access ends.
In writing
Your firm holds the admin accounts.Where your data sits
Your data stays in the United States, in Texas and Kansas.
One machine, then two. You start on one machine in Texas. When you want the firm to survive losing a site, we add a second machine in Kansas, rehearsed with you first. Recovery targets are set with you in your agreement. That is disaster recovery, not high availability, and it is not a backup: a file deleted by mistake is deleted on both.
How it works

- Step 3A paid trialOn your own closed matters, never live client files. Then the vault, and your first restore in front of you.
