HT

HT is an off-grid Bitcoin miner, industrial automation specialist and infrastructure executive. His automation work covered PLC-controlled conveyor and robotic systems and their electrical distribution for Amazon, Kroger and Vitacost. Mining Bitcoin since 2017, he has worked on grid-connected and gas-fired computing sites from 500 kW facilities to a 100 MW development.

On the gas sites he has run the whole sequence: gas delivery and pressure regulation; generators installed, commissioned and maintained; three-phase power through switchgear and panels to the racks; ventilation and heat rejection; site internet, networking and remote equipment access; the mining computers, their firmware and their connection to a mining pool; and the procedures, repairs and procurement that keep it running. What changes site to site is fuel, generation and climate.

  • 500 kW, Kentucky. Grid-connected and single-phase. Led the build end to end, engineered the site network, and maintained the machines down to component-level repair.
  • 1 MW, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. Hands-on technical lead. Off-grid on Marcellus Shale gas behind a Caterpillar generator set.
  • 5 MW, Appalachian Foothills, Kentucky. Built, commissioned and operated. Off-grid on stranded gas from abandoned wells, on Waukesha, Kohler and Generac generation.
  • 5.25 MW, Roby, Texas. Field implementation of two Permian Basin facilities, 4 MW and 1.25 MW, on Caterpillar and HIPOWER generation.
  • 25 MW, MHA Nation, North Dakota. Field development and operations for a multi-site flare-mitigation program across Bakken well sites: winterized, heat-traced piping for extreme cold, skids stripping liquids and heavy hydrocarbons, support for compressor-station operations at production scale, and a Caterpillar fleet from 275 kW to 1,475 kW.
  • 55 MW of a 100 MW development, Midland, Texas. Led field construction and commissioning of the initial 55 MW of generation: 25 Caterpillar 2.2 MW sets on about 25 million cubic feet a day of pipeline gas, through a 300-meter manifold he designed and built, pressure staged 5,000 to 350 to 5 psi. Commissioned the factory-delivered, water-cooled data centers: cooling loops pressure-tested, electrical verified, readied for compute. Partially completed, hand-off to Digital Sterling in process.

As co-founder and CEO of Sovereign Hybrid Compute, HT leads development of edge compute infrastructure that converts stranded and wasted energy into Bitcoin mining, AI and sovereign computing capacity.
